And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We live in a new-ish development, where none of homes are older than 6 years old.
The homes were built by the same builder and at roughly the same time, so while there are always differences in tastes and budgets, you can see similarities across the neighborhood.
I say all that to set up this: There are 4 homes for sale here. On Zillow, they're very similar except for one which stands out. The pictures that they're using to try to sell this house look like they came from some Museum to Your Grandmother. They have one room with a couch and an old school TV. Yeah...something with a cathode ray tube built into a cabinet. Another room, ostensibly set up as an office, has a desk with a typewriter. A pink typewriter.
I dunno how you can live like that in 2024, but there are some for whom the clock stopped in 1972.

The Steampunk crowd wets their pants and spends a small fortune doing things like that by hand.
