    1. with affection; so ugly it's beautiful is my best shot to describe it. I think the Prowler requires a crew of 3 if not four. Either way it's a social workspace!

  2. When my stepson was at Whidbey Island Air Naval base and working on those things, he snuck us in one night and showed us the one he was working on. All the covers and hatches were off (cockpit was tarped) and those things are just a can of worms of cables, wires and hydraulic hoses. They had plastic sheets on the deck just covered with what seemed like thousands of parts. The hangar was huge. I was like, "how the heck do you......?" and "what if you have a piece......?" Incredible.

  4. 1 pilot, 3 EWOs, and enough electromagnetic radiation to take out city grids.

Only showed up when someone was about to get a good thumping.

  5. In another lifetime or seems like it. I was stationed at El Toro MCAS in the mid late seventies. The 3 main aircraft going on and off the runways were the A-4, F-4 and the A-6 with the F-4 being the loudest (and maybe the record holder) then the A-6 with a higher pitched roar and then the A-4 Skyhawk with it's single engine. But that F-4 would kick those after burners on and you could feel your trousers vibrate.
