Bob's gun jammed. Then he looked up and saw Sher Khan, who also saw that the gun was jammed.
In reality, hunting man eaters is done with double rifles. These are two independent locks and barrels in a common receiver. If the first doesn't go boom then the second should. Note that the PH behind you has already raised his double and will shoot over your shoulder/head if you freeze/shit or piss your pants/faint/have a heart attack. Losing a client is always bad for business.
