And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Absolutely awesome, and totally un-doable in today's lefty Hollywood. My favorite line comes late in the movie when John Wayne is driving Maureen O'Hara back to her brother's house. An old lady watching the spectacle hands Wayne a piece of shrubbery and says: " Here's a branch to beat the young lady with".
My wife knows I have a major crush on Maureen O'hara and doesn't care. Of course it doesn't hurt that she was from another era, and from completely different circles.
