The Quiet Man

  1. One of Wayne's own favorites, and one of mine also.

Great, great movie. So quotable. If you haven't seen it, do.

  2. Absolutely awesome, and totally un-doable in today's lefty Hollywood. My favorite line comes late in the movie when John Wayne is driving Maureen O'Hara back to her brother's house. An old lady watching the spectacle hands Wayne a piece of shrubbery and says: " Here's a branch to beat the young lady with".

  6. They are both so impossibly young! It's very sad that our nation's heart of entertainment has so thoroughly lost its way.

  7. My wife knows I have a major crush on Maureen O'hara and doesn't care. Of course it doesn't hurt that she was from another era, and from completely different circles.
