And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Governor of South Dakota. Id the make and model of that car he's in.
1941 Dodge D-19 convertible. The front fender has a bright metal molding. Between the door and the hood is a short section of metal that is not found on GM, Studebaker, or Hudson. I rule out Graham.
I think it's a '41 Olds Super 90, based on the chrome trim line on the fender that extends its full length and the thin chrome trim piece on top of the door. He was elected Governor in '40 and became a Senator in '42 so the time frame is right. Al_in_Ottawa
No clue. Anyone? 😁

I'm thinking my guess of a '48 Mercury was nowhere near right.
ReplyDeleteIs it a Hemi-cuda?
ReplyDeleteI heard that Harlon was an a-hole.
ReplyDeleteWhich one is Harlon?
Probably the distinguished fellow without the hat..
