And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Because of that TV series, I took a lot of heat in elementary school. Some kids didn’t really get the concept and called me Ghost, or Mrs. Muir. There’s a gal at the Ace Hardware store in town that I’ve known for 20 years or so. She loves that movie and she and I chat about it occasionally.
Great film and an even better soundtrack by Bernard Herrmann who also did North by Northwest and many others. Steve_in_Ottawa
