And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
used mine to confront intruders a couple years ago. the wife wakes me up and says "somebody is in the kitchen and we aint up" (huh ?) anyhow my dogs could open our lever style locksets and so Bubba was giving the other dogs a tour of the house at 2 a:m. the dogs were not impressed by my weapon but i sure felt ready for whatever.
I think I'd call it a boarding axe. It appears to be very similar to one by that name as described in "Vengeance and Retribution" (4th book of "The Duelist" series by Larry B. Lambert - great story, don't miss it) on pp.195-6.
