And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Used one of these successfully for decades. It's a classic.
I started with the book "How to Grill: The Complete Illustrated Book of Barbecue Technique", that book pointed me to the Weber Kettle grill and with those (and a lot of on-line help from a BBQ site) I figured it out.
Probably on number 6 with the 22 inch, guess #5 on the 18 inch, probably number 8 with the little Smoky Joe. All 3 sizes get used frequently 12 months a year. This over the course of 45 years. Even have the little fold up one for roadtrips. Biggskye in Missouri
It's been a classic grill. We always knew who had money in the 70s. They could afford a Webber. I like the little old cast iron hibachi grills too. Especially the ones that you could adjust the grate height of the charcoal
I bought one in Redondo Beach in 1980 for $29.99.
ReplyDeleteHad one for years also.
ReplyDeleteA great machine that can go from hotdogs to a smoked Thanksgiving turkey!
ReplyDeleteWhen you have mastered the art of grilling, this is the grill to use.

DeleteI'm on number 5, in 53 years. Movers won't move'em.

I still use the 1974 avocado green Weber mom bought new.
