And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
An hour ago I helped out. A gurl cardinal slammed into the window on my office door. She was laying on her back on the bridge but breathing. I picked her up and set her down upright and she just sat there. Looked half an hour later and she was gone. Small tuft of feathers on the window where she hit.
I was ten, I had just crashed through a plate glass window. That I was a bloody mess didn't hinder the stranger who drove me to the hospital in his luxury car with white interior with white carpet. I apologized for bleeding on his car. He said don't worry about it. Sometimes you just gotta help.
