And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Bill Arnold, the guy who started Blues Hog, showed up on a BBQ Listserv I was on (yes, it's been a while) saying he'd lost his job but had this recipe for a sauce that he might start selling. Began out of his home kitchen. That original recipe became the number one sauce on the BBQ contest circuit. Tennessee Red is a thinned down version of the original. Sadly, Bill died of cancer a few years ago but not before selling the business for what I assume was a fair amount of money. He simply wanted to be able to care for his two daughters.
