    1. I can attest to that firsthand.
      Found a ground nest in late August, but not until several of the 'residents' had paid me a visit.
      If you're interested, I can steer you in the direction of what I imagine would be several thousand of the lifeless pricks.

  5. Sat on one at the city pool once. Sat on one cheek for about a week after that. Had a lot of them at our pool and found out they cannot hold their breath all that long. I help bees out with a bare hand and hold the Yellow Jackets under with the leaf net until they are good yellow jackets.

  6. BB gun targets in the pool when I was a youngster.

    Once they get thwapped, the tension disappears, and it turns out they can't swim a lick.
