And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Always enjoyed that sci-fi art. Grew up with Analog and Sci-Fi Fantasy etc, some great reading and imagining for a little boy. Still a little boy inside regards sci-fi, and fantasy, from JRR Tolkien to Larry Niven to Joe Haldeman to H. Beam Piper. Some of the art brings it all alive. Like Lord of The Rings. Of recent note is Vox Day's take on writing some excellent tales in Tolkien's world from some very interesting directions, pretty darn close to quality of Tolkien style, Arts of Dark and Light series: A Throne of Bones and A Sea of Skulls, lot of ork and elvish action, with the elves taming their war eagles, birth of very early Rome on the edge of Middle Earth, how the ork and orichi organized snd fought against men and elves, some great characters, continuation of the Tolkien sagas but looking from the periphery, avoiding intruding on Tolkien's scope of work, excellent careful addition from a couple interesting angles. Very rich canvas thats truly wide open.
