And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
By staged I'm talking about new tools just for the picture like this one as compared to just pulling the stuff out of your pockets, setting them down and taking the picture.
Some derringers come in 22LR, Mafia uses that caliber for hits. Though blurry, I think the one pictured is 38spl. and that's enough to get the job done. A 'tiny' gun is better than just harsh words or nothing.
Bahaahaaahhaaa! My Bond is a .45/.410. I carry SOB. More than one LEO has been impressed enough to buy one after putting after sending a few down range albeit at 7 yards.
Keep the derringer in the nightstand and get a 5-shot DAO Airweight .38 special for EDC pocket carry. Trust me, I carried one as a BUG for years working the streets of SoCal.
Quite some time ago, an acquaintance pulled out a two-barreled BondArms shooter to show it off; a .45Colt as I recall. I drew out a 3" Kimber Ultra RCP II, 7+1 .45ACP; mine was lighter empty, thinner, and all edges were smooth for easier carry - including trough sight channel. He stated something akin to "showoff". Though I've seen Bond's .45-70; but I'd only use black powder rounds if'n I got one of those for fun. David
Who walks around with a slap jack? Or is it a bookmark?
ReplyDeleteYou hit anyone with that and you’ll be getting your jacks slapped in the slammer for a long time…
DeleteThey're against the law around here.
DeleteWhere I was once employed, they were carried openly and occasionally used to good effect. Generic term was a flat slapper.
Deleteyou know what they say, "2 is 1 and 1 is none."
ReplyDeleteIt's just a bookmark, Officer.
ReplyDeleteBond Arms Derringers don't make any sense to me. I want one.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a brand new sap & two folding knives? Looks like a staged photo rather than actually an EDC.
ReplyDeleteAll these photos are staged. For example, no keys ...

DeleteAll these photos are stage. Doh!
ReplyDeleteMikey, yes you need a Bond Arms. I have the Texas Defender it's a hoot. Too heavy to actualy carry.
ReplyDeleteHold it backwards and it's a good slapper
DeleteI know that any loaded pistol is "dangerous" but a tiny lady's gun is almost a joke.

I am thinking that the smaller the size of the firearm, the more chances of having an accident or a misfire.
DeleteBond arms are very well made, but they weigh more than my "Airweight" 5shot 38+P. The snubbie is easier to hit what you aim at also.
ReplyDeleteI want a brace full of Derringers. Closest I'll get to being a pirate with a brace fulla flintlock pistols

ReplyDeleteThey make them in 47-70 if big is your thing. Not me though.

ReplyDeleteNice size sap, they are quiet, it can be thrown away, easy to carry concealed.
