And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Was doing a restoration on a 1915 schoolhouse, found a mostly full box just like the picture...it was like holding the Holy Grail of crayons. Then we found a 1910 baseball mitt and ball...that was the proverbial icing on the cake until we realized someone had to explain to his dad he lost his glove.
Especially the one with the built-in sharpener. Memories. 🖍
