And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You slipped in an AI-generated last pic, CW. It’s not possible to have Coit Tower and the top of the GG Bridge in the same street level view. Plus there’s no cable car route near Coit, and the autos depicted are too newish in design to say this is a photo from when there was a CC route there. Not one distinguishable appt model, either. Decent fake, though. I wasted ten minutes on Google street view before noticing the bridge support top on left. Ha!
My favorite is the one with the dog.
ReplyDeleteLarry Larry just may be the smartest guy on this here blog.
DeleteBut I want that old Jeep! The only thing I'd change on it would be the oil.
There are two pictures with dogs, Larry Larry. One for each of you.
DeleteThough a tighter weave, #17 reminds me of the switchback road in Peru from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu.
ReplyDeleteThe backgrounds are breathtaking
ReplyDeleteRSR (#1) FTW!

DeleteShe's married.
Delete#1 Porsche 910, probably on the Tour de France in the late '60s. The black fitting on the engine cowl is the spare tire holder.

The Sea Shell Motel looks more like the No Tell Motel.
ReplyDeleteI came to the realization last week that the Friday Open Road is exactly what I need at the end of the week. Thank you, sir!
