  6. I vaguely remember reading somewhere (and incorrectly, I might add) that 50% of the US population lives between Boston and DC. I just looked it up and see that the real number is not 50% ... but 19%. And having lived in both Philly and DC for several decades, I can tell you that while the number is crowded and a bit insane, it is also thrilling and intense.

  7. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people that call themselves Americans and can't wait to tell everyone how much they love this country but that also can't wait to trash this country.

Don't like big cities? Then don't live in a big city. Don't like the east coast (or the west coast), then stay in the middle. This is a free and large country. You can choose to live anywhere you want.
In that maps is contained the birthplace of our nation. The fields where most independence battles were fought. Our Nation's capital, the greatest city in this country, 80% of the country's top universities, 80% of our colonial landmarks, 15-20% of the American population.

Some of you say you love America but it seems you hate most of America.

  8. Affectionally know as BOSWASH. This is the true America: 420+ years of history, all of it American. (California and the Southwest and Texas have 250 years of Spanish history.) If you don’t like BOSWASH, you’re not an American. You’re something else.

It’s like Christianity. If you’re not Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox, you’re not a Christian. You’re something else.

Of course, by that criterion, America (other than California et al.) is not a Christian country.
