And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Becoming more and more art as time passes. Seems the minds which produced it are long time passing, cycles do that, I know it will come around in some form eventually, probably past my time though.
I cannot see scenes like that, from not that long ago, without grieving over the distance our society and culture have fallen since.

The “rot” comes from globalism and short-sighted, short-term profit above all else thinking.
