And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I would be extremely embarrassed to have my desk look like that mess. Besides, how can anyone get anything done with all that stuff on the desktop? There's no writing space.
It appears to me that the furniture directly below the window is not a desk but rather a side bureau, which is why there is no knee space under the top. It is not a disorganized mess, but rather filled with a well organized and dense display of memorabilia. The actual desk could be the piece of furniture on the left side of the photograph, but more likely is behind the chair and out of the picture because the view out the window is the center of attention.
I enjoy the great variety of posts here every day (especially the lovely ladies, real or not), the lively commentary by the local denizens, and very much appreciate the effort that must go into assembling them. It has been a while since I thanked you for your daily gift to the world CW, so thank you.
