And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When we used to visit my grandparents my dad's youngest brother who still lived at home let me read his True Stories and Argosy magazines. I was about 12 yo at the time and loved those things.
Read the heck out of each issue I could get, Analog was another favorite, few others, they where cheap enough as a kid, could save money earned for doing odd jobs, shovel snow and a paper route, could afford these fantastic monthly's, not anything around like them now, too bad because say getting them on a kindle preserves them netter as they where made of rather low grade bindings and print stock. Should have saved them, but passing them on became part if that era at least where I lived. Lot of great writers and some barn burner novels started out in those publications.
