And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Took a drive west of town to the little burg of Lewiston.
Saw some iridescent clouds on the way.
Stopped at the only place in town to get lunch, and it was pretty good.
Lewiston is an old gold mining town but nowadays the draw is multiple big lakes nearby, fishing and hunting.
some tasty selections on the menu. Reasonably priced too considering post-"flu" restaurant price increases. Sadly notte absence of 'taters with breakfast selections. Does anyone still serve grits?
I used to live in Lewiston in 1975 when I worked at the Trinity River Salmon & Steelhead Hatchery. Long time ago. It was a dumpy little town back then, but it seems like it's perked up and has some nice amenities in the 51 years since.
