Took a drive west of town to the little burg of Lewiston.

Saw some iridescent clouds on the way.

Stopped at the only place in town to get lunch, and it was pretty good.

Lewiston is an old gold mining town but nowadays the draw is multiple big lakes nearby, fishing and hunting.

  1. some tasty selections on the menu. Reasonably priced too considering post-"flu" restaurant price increases. Sadly notte absence of 'taters with breakfast selections. Does anyone still serve grits?

    1. Grits? Waffle House has them.. but this place is a long ways from that part of the world!

  2. I used to live in Lewiston in 1975 when I worked at the Trinity River Salmon & Steelhead Hatchery. Long time ago. It was a dumpy little town back then, but it seems like it's perked up and has some nice amenities in the 51 years since.
