And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

An abandoned Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien Flying Swallow, 68 Sentai, New Guinea, 1944.
I've got a great book called War of Our Fathers. The photographer's father fought in the Pacific in WW II. Places few tourists go these days. He photographed old planes, tanks, bunkers in color and infrared b&w. Time for me to look through it again.
"Tony" to the Allies as they initially thought it was an Italian design. It uses a version of the German DB-601 that was in the Bf-109E.
