And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
All birds are my favorite , some more than others. Corn feed Mallard or Wood ducks are pretty darn good, although rotisserie chicken ain't bad either. Think I'll go get a couple, that will fix the dinner problem.
I appreciate the birds more than I did as when I was young since they remind me of being a kid having fun outdoors. No favorite but do like quail and doves calling in the morning. Jays remind me of camping in the woods. Least favorite would be peacocks.
Hummingbirds are my favorite. One of God's most amazing aviators. They can do tricks helicopter pilots can only dream about. My cat sez they're OK as a snack. (dam cat)
Visiting friends this evening, I've got a chicken in the pressure cooker. Rosemarie and Lemon, with a cold multigrain 'salad' mixed with green and red bell peppers, garlic and olive oil.
Home cooked, oven roasted chicken is great. Duck not so. Turkey is OK for Thanksgiving. Combined in one meal is horrible at best and disgusting at worst.
