Went to the parts store recently for a battery and while there bought two 10mm sockets just for kicks.

  1. I don't know about you people with furrin cars. (Yeah, I know.)

As an old Ford and Willys owner (American Cars!) the issue is why do I have dozens of wrenches but one (1) half-inch - and it is just the other end of a 9/16"?

I guess it is time to go by some pawn shops again. (They carry 10 mm too.)

  2. 1 star. Would not buy again. The language used in this book isn't suitable for children.

  3. I will do you one better. I have lost a 10mm end wrench in an engine compartment. Could not for the life of me find the darn thing.

  4. I've told this before, but I'm pretty old so be patient. Somewhere, there's an '87 S10 Pickup with several 10mm Craftsman sockets from the good Craftsman days. Mostly 12 point and a swivel or two dropped into the belly panfrom my fooling with the EGR valve.

  5. I was helping a fiend change out his starter in a 03 V8 Tundra because I had done it before. It is located under the intake manifold, major PIA. It is a 9 hour job for one person per the Toyota repair book. We found a stubby 10mm ratchet and a 10mm socket under the manifold.

    1. I changed the starter in my 4WD 03 Tacoma. What a nightmare. I love my Toyotas but certain things make me think their Engineers must be nuts. The water pump on that truck was driven by the timing belt.
