Some of the modified B-25s in the southern Pacific had 12-14 .50 Caliber guns installed in the nose by theater mechanics at first and then were followed the factory B25J models due the their success in literally blowing Japanese cargo ships and Destroyers out of the water by almost cutting them in two..
