And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My cousin's husband who fancied himself being a lumberjack who could drop a tree wherever he wanted, dropped a huge cottonwood on his brand new Ford pickup. His son later told me they never talk about it.
that's a late model tin can so unlikely to be buffed out, just add it to the junk yard and go fist fight with the insurance company

ReplyDeleteNot near as much energy in a pound of softwood as there is in hardwoods, so you need more to stay warm.
DeleteAspen when seasoned 6-12 months makes good kindling, burns hot and fast, but doesn’t last long like other trees with more resin/sap…
