And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My wife feeds a family with our kitchen scraps, a spot across the road at the treeline, seems to keep them mostly off our land, they are some pretty big little porkers. We don't mind cause they keep the tick population near zero, so its a win win. But lord they are some ugly critters.
In the last 5-6 months I have trapped and relocated 7 of these unattractive critters. And I live in housing subdivision. Now I am dealing with a raccoon - a much smarter, or wiser, critter. And a living rototiller.
i encourage their presence on our ground. they do a lot of good. we have at least 3 different color variations. they don't carry rabies either contrary to local belief.

ReplyDeleteWe have a younger one that has made friends with our outdoor cats. It's not really afraid of us and does keep the tick and grub population at bay.
