    1. Could never get my Ultra CDP to run reliably. Sold it.

  2. Mine did. sold it. It was a Custom Shop 1911 at that.

  3. My two are early ones, a Gold Match and a stainless Ultra Carry. Never had a problem with either. Granted the Gold Match is a target gun, best suited for tapered wadcutters, but swap in a heavier spring and it works just fine. Both are from the mid 90s.

  4. It is…my Kimber has been a righteous partner. Never misfired and I’ve had it 10+ years. Thousands of rounds. Love it.

  5. I'd put my Tisas, 4 1/4", bobtail Carry up against any production 1911.

  6. I have two Kimber Custom IIs. I love them. I see that the one in the pic has the ambidextrous safety.

  7. If yer short barreled kimber is misfeeding, it is likely the recoil spring.
Those coaxial springs work pretty hard when you only have a 3 inch barrel to work with....they wear out pretty fast.

  8. hunted buffalo in montana, the outfitter was a diminutive woman named glenda, carries a snub .38 worn of bluing. I asked her why she carried it, was told, "in case wunna you assholes breaks a ankle".
