And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Counter Space Taker Upper. On the other hand, it has bagel mode!
We have a similar one but for 4 breads and it's a PITA with all the buttons and knobs. One of these days I'll shitcan it and get a normal one, if they make em any more. Ours stays in the lower cabinet. Messy counters = messy owners. eeeuuuwwww
BTW, if you leave yours on the counter look at the underside of the wall cabinet sometime. lol
Ours quit. Refuse to pay $50 for a toaster. So bought one for $18 but the bread we buy is a rectangle and it's too long to fit in the shutes. So have to brown one end, flip and brown the other. But at least it wasn't $50.
