  3. Looks like a Supermarine Spitfire and a Ferrari Monza SP2 - play toys from different generations...

  4. I guess maybe he's really into impressing others, but he's out of place in the photo.

  5. If that photo was taken in Great Britian, the steering wheel on the car is on the wrong side. No?

    1. Maybe. I've noticed that digital media, randomly reverses images, a LOT.

    2. I may be wrong but I think the SP2 is only available in left hand drive.

    3. The photo isn't reversed, you can see the cockpit door on the Spit and the prop blades are angled the right way. There is no law in Britain against owning a left hand drive car.
The Spitfire is a Mk IX painted to resemble JEJ, flown by Johnnie E Johnson, Britain's highest scoring ace, who was transferred to the RCAF, hence the Maple Leaf insignia.

  6. I'd take either one, sell it and buy one of those high performance, bush hopper, hillside landing, STOL birds...and a motorcycle...and a 60's or 70's short bed F-100...and...HEY, that Spitfire and Ferrari(?) are EXPENSIVE, there will be plenty of "play" money.

  7. The Spit, back in the day, was far from being a play toy.

  8. The Spit has RCAF marking just under the canopy.

  9. I'd have to sell the Spit to pay for what I would do to the tires on the car

  10. If ya got the "Jing" ya get the "Bling"

  11. And one must ponder, owning those two, why in hell you'd ever come home...?
