And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
P.S. When Hi-fi VHS recorders came out, I bought one of the first, a JVC, which had controls which allowed it to be used as an audio recorder. If you look at the effective inches-per-second for VHS compared to any reel-to-reel deck, there's no comparison, the VHS being about 80 ips.
I knew they'd come back if I waited long enough. I have my Dad's TEAC A3300SX. Hasn't been used since mid 90's (older brother was storing it in the bottom of a cloet). Have to find a place to do a CLA on it.
Owning it or actually using it?
ReplyDeleteUsed to rebuild those things for audio snobs. Good money.
ReplyDeleteReel-to-reel is back, going by the ads in the high-end magazines. But only for the rich.
