The accessory kit makes this one the better choice.

  1. A good choice, if you're ready to buy your next one. I'm a huge fan of oil sumps - somehow, they keep running, year after year, problem free, when the reciprocating bits have oil lubrication every cycle. I find these 'oil-free' ones tend to start smoking with nailgun duty, or other uses that require them to cycle for longer periods.

  2. I have a 30+ year old tankless air compressor that has served me well for all that time. I may go ahead and purchase one of these just to have a new one in my workshop.

  3. In my experience, the HF 2 & 6 gallon Fortess "super quiet" models are better than anything else on the market, sooooo quiet!

  5. Had a Craftsman pancake compressor but it was too noisy to use in an enclosed space without hearing protection. Got an ultra-quiet Rolair 2HP 3-gallon JC20 compressor and never looked back. Donated the Craftsman to a neighbor who needed one.

  6. Noticed my tank had a best by date on it, still using it.
