And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I flew a "paint bird" to McMinnville, TN with that guy. He was our pubs Petty Officer at HT-18. I let him fly half the way back since he had lot's of bootleg stick time. We got within 10 miles of Whiting Field and got weathered in at at farmer's field. Had to send the truck of shame for us since the wx wasn't forecast to clear for 72 hours.
That area of TN has fog warnings all the time, especially on I-75. 10+ friends of mine graduated from nearby Sewanee - 2+ days of heavy fog were common.
They had to put up special fog warnings/road markings on I-75 near Calhoun, TN after a massive pileup caused by fog back in the mid-90s. A lot of folks attributed the fog to the local paper mill dumping massive amounts of hot water into the Hiwassee River, upstream of where the interstate crosses the River.
With just three struts, I'd say that it was a US Marine (or Navy) CH-46.
