And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Buick is all SUVs like Lincoln. The only car Ford makes in the US is the Mustang. Chevy is going to stop making the Malibu next year, leaving the Corvette as the only car.
Is the gas cap under the plate? My parents had a 72 Impala. Plate flipped up to expose the gas filler pipe. Sadly that beast died two weeks before I got my learners permit. Sigh.
Pop had one, pretty sweet ride, beautiful leather seats, built like a tank, all the motor you could ask for, and smoooooth ride, us boys loved it, after giving it a wax job he would cruise us to the A&W drive thru, serious stylin' back then, after the Riviera he bought a Toronado, that car had some serious power, not as pretty as the Riviera, but a great vehicle, how they stuffed a Turbo 400 and front wheel drive in it was a lick of engineering, they don't make cars like this now, goes without saying.
My first car was a '73 Riviera, this one appears to be a '72. Just imagine a BIG comfy couch strapped to a rocket; I miss it.

ReplyDeleteHaving a car that only fits people was a thing back then. We had a pickup, sedan or a station wagon. SUVs serve that purpose today, Makes sense to me.
