And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

That's right up there! Way different from when I went by it during the drought in '77, I can remember looking at the river way down in the canyon as we headed south.
One year traveling back to Seattle on a road trip with my little brother, we stopped to cool off from the triple digits. Walking back to the van our legs were red up to our knees after coming out of the swell water. See the red mud?
