And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I've got a slab of walnut sitting in the shed nicer than that one. I guess this summer's project, among others, should be to make a table like this with it.
I've got a few slabs of Black River sinker cypress that would make that look like kindling. Black River in Georgetown SC. 200 yr old trees under water for 100 ?
Priced a set of Spegel grips for 1911 lately? You do and you might start thinking of a different use for your nice hunk of walnut and a different hobby.
The wrought iron minimalist legs are just the ticket for that fine table.
