And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

One of the cats nabbed a bird.
The jungle, and all it's rules (or the lack of them) is closer than we think.
That's a fact! The cats around here occasionally get a bird, but boy oh boy, they cut a swath through the small rodent population. We find a mouse on our doorstep almost every day.
Only humans have the ability to reason and be ruled by emotional reaction to certain situations. Animals on the other hand kill mostly for food, although some Sociologists believe well fed by their keepers (cats don't have owners) domesticated cats do hunt birds, not for food but to sate their instinctive hunt reflex.
People have no idea the MILLIONS of birds and small mammals killed yearly by wandering cats, most pets.
