  1. Remember the smell of the gas being pumped into the car back then?

  2. That is an artifact of an America that is sadly long past.

  3. And it's too bad you don't see that Americana anymore. It's not too late to start getting back to where we were.
Of course if the dims take the house or senate, it's pretty much game over without a CW

  4. Just throw up a modern-make tee-pee, give it some power for lights & A/C, you can make extra coin calling it "glamping". Skip the expensive custom building costs. And fer sure get the names region-specific and respectibull.

    1. Exactly! The original 'mobile home'...no permits, altho some ninny will demand you take it down because it's 'cultural appropriation", another made-up envy angst-driven Lefty term.

    2. It's 'cultural appreciation', dammit! I'd rather sit and listen why a teepee isn't a wigwam over someone telling me why I can't use either!

    3. It IS 'appreciation', but don't tell a Lefty that. These iconic places are disappearing because of loss of private property freedoms, zoning restrictions (not all bad but certainly overreaching), and the fact some are simply unhappy types who demand the rest of us wallow in their sad-sack mentality.

    1. No. Browning, Montana: Former Teepee Gas Station The concrete teepee dates to the 1930s when it opened as Kramer's Wigwam Service Station. It eventually became the Espresso Tipi coffee house, but has been closed since 2018. [https://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/11567]

  6. A woman wearing a dress and a hat. A man in jeans and a t-shirt. There's a story going on there, . . .
