I remember Tower Records in Sacramento - back in the day.

  1. Last Tower Records that I was in was located in Tysons Corner VA, right before they closed all the stores.

  9. The last Tower Records I shopped in was on the Sunset Strip. I reckon that it’s been 45+ years. It was a huge store. One time that I went on a new music Tuesday. It was a bit of a madhouse.

  12. Dallas, TX on Lemon Ave. The rise of Internet shopping has ruined the hunt. You know, the hunt, when after work or on weekends, maybe on Tuesdays or Wednesdays when new releases hit, and you'd head to the local record store, start flipping thru titles, finding what you're looking for or discovering something cool & completely new to you. And while you can learn about a new band and download their entire discography in the next 10 minutes off the Internet, that old joy of the hunt is gone now.
