And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Always liked Blue Bayou. But her relationship with that POS Jerry Browne made her 10000000% unlikable. Thankfully the Eagles got away from her early on.
I loved Linda's early music. I was not happy when she decided to go back to her Hispanic (Mexican) roots. There is a documentary movie on her life. My wife and I really liked watching it.
One of the great singing voices of my generation. Extraordinary range of musical genres, rock, country western, ballads, trad Mexican, and even light opera (Prates of Penzance). From a musical family. The Eagles started out as her back up, and she made the definitive versions of most of their songs. Hers was the definitive version of anything she cared to sing. And she was beautiful.
The Ronstadts are very prominent in Tucson. Her kin have been business and political leaders there for decades. My son is buddies with one of the younger members of the family. Most of them, even being Democrats, seem to have views similar to most western ranchers and business folks. Then, there’s Linda. She just hung out in SoCal too long and thinks that those who like her music have a strong desire to hear her political ravings. At least, that’s the way it looks to me.
Why didn't you use asterisks for the N in tale*ted, does*'t, mea*, is*'t, ravi*g, ragi*g ... as well ?
My point is, you are only putting salve on your own conscience, pretending to hide the actual word you are writing, maybe in case a six year old is reading this (the asterisk would make them want to find out what it stood for) ... or maybe just so you wouldn't appear crass and without a good command of the language, but the rest of us get to have the word in all it's reality, lit large in our brains, BECAUSE of the asterisk, ... with that little star shaped symbol akin to flashing lights around a movie house advertisement for a film about a guy who hides his vulgarity behind small symbols.
Please, just write the word, nothing wrong with honesty, if you feel that way have the balls to say it, don't be a weak willed w*nker.
Didn't she sleep with a president, or am I getting her confused with Monica ? I agree with other comments about famous people touting their political leanings, seems to be a thing though, get famous however you can and then try and influence the world to think like you. Horrifically illustrated by the U.S.A's current so called president. Although as far as I can tell, he don't care one iota about how Americans think or feel. Your mileage may vary.
