And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I remember reading that book in 4th or 5th grade. Can't remember the title. The adventures of raising what was then called a triceratops that hatched from a chicken egg.
Yes, The Enormous Egg. I too read it in elementary school. I still have a copy on my bookshelf. As I recall, I got it through Scholastic Book Service, along with a lot of other similar stories.
Makes me think of the movie 'Carnisaur', except the chickens exploded from the eggs becoming too big.
