And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have one that saw hard service in the Pacific in the 1940's. Most of the parkerizing is gone, and the worn sheath has a piece of aircraft aluminum riveted over the tip. A friend killed two Japanese soldiers with a kabar. First Marine Div., Guadalcanal.

I was issued a K-bar for Desert Storm. I like the way a sheathed K-bar will fit alongside the seatbelt clip in my F-350.
