And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Au contraire: The first-ever perfect gunnery score during the U.S. Air Force’s "Gunsmoke" competition was achieved in 1989. During the air-to-ground strafe event in Nevada, Capt. Angus Simpson, an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, scored a perfect 200 out of 200 rounds in the target panel.
The gun is mounted so that the barrels fire when they are on the centerline of the aircraft so the recoil doesn't cause the aircraft to yaw. Since the gun is so low the nose of the A10 wants to drop from the recoil so there is a stability system to prevent that. Al_in_Ottawa
Say! I'll take the one on the trailer, but they mounted it pointing the wrong way......
ReplyDeleteYou just drive a low riding convertible and you will do fine.
DeleteDuring repeated tests, pilots have demonstrated an inability to hit targets with this gun system.
