  1. The cops would call the truck "following too close."

  2. ...and probably going faster than the speed the light is timed for.

  3. I generally check the rear view mirror before coming to a quick stop at a traffic light just in case I have a vehicle behind me that looks like it won't be able to stop in time.

    1. I spend a considerable amount of time viewing the vehicles behind me in the rear-view mirror. If I think that they are following too close, I pump my brakes to get them to back off. In today's world, looking out for the other guy is almost as important as watching out for yourself. In Colorado, besides distracted cell phone users, we have an awful lot of DWI (pot smoking) less than mental giants in their cars on the road.

  6. Ahem. Looks like an Indian truck driver in the states. Street signage is American and the license plates are U.S. shape.

  8. Having driven a semi I've experienced the stupidity of people swerving in front of me and expecting an 80000 load to stop as fast as a 3000 pound car. Turn signals to them are only used in the last ten feet before they want to turn a corner not the 150 feet or so like they should. The truck may have been going too fast but maybe the car was doing the same speed and suddenly threw on the brakes. When driving the semi I made damn sure I had a lot of room between me and the vehicle ahead but that did not always guarantee that the vehicle ahead didn't pull a stop without notice.

  10. Maybe everyone else can see something I can't. Everyone else is STOPPED, and a truck just ran what probably was a RED LIGHT?
