The Ford GT Mk IV sets the fastest time ever run at the Nürburgring by an American OEM, and third fastest time overall. The time of six minutes, 15.977 seconds makes this the fastest car that is exclusively powered by an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) around the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

  3. I had a Jag XK with a normally aspirated 5.0L engine and my best time was about 15 minutes. Running the Ring is an expensive hobby even if you don't crash.

  4. Top speed was about 193 mph. Was there a speed/rev limiter on this thing?
