  2. We flew a bunch of A-7's up in the arctic circle back in the 80's; it was cold; even colder at altitude. We wore these high muck lucks that went over the g-suit to just below the knees; I knew if we ejected those things would fly off and I would end up in my socks in the arctic circle in winter. Thankfully that never happened.

  4. Ever see the photo of the PBY coming to shore in water with chunks of ice floating around and the guys in the water with ropes to attach to the plane? That picture looked cold!
