And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I don't know, being chucked off the boat 6 kilometres from the very rocky shore, and in waters known to house stingers and sharks is not my idea of a good life. Reckon being trapped in a mine or cave way underground is worse, but only because of the time you have to wait for actual death.
That is the good life. A vessel with a sprit that high off the water has to be fine indeed.
Of the thousands of hours I've spent in the ocean, having seen plenty of wildlife, sharks included, the only danger I encountered was mam o war and box jelly fish.

Well, there was also that moray eel that that got after me, but only because I stole his lobster. That's no reason to stay out of the water.
