And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Adding this to my reading list (which is growing longer - I need to take a couple days off work and just brew a pot of Joe and read, maybe start a pork roast on the smoker, dunno).
Tsundoku HTTPS://interestingfacts.com/fact/the-japanese-word-tsundoku-describes-the-act-of-buying-books-and-never-reading-them/ I am afflicted with the same condition.
Added to the list I keep on Amazon. But I have **so many** already on that list, that I'm going to have to start triaging them into Books I Ought to Read, Books I'd Like to Read, and then all the others that are (were?) sorta interesting if I ever need something else.
But I also check out e-books from our library, and currently have 2 on my Kindle (I finished a third last night) that I'll never finish before the library takes them back.
I read his “Sword and Scimitar”, and it was great. This one should be good as well
ReplyDeleteDitto.
DeleteJust ordered it.
ReplyDeleteI promised myself that I must finish my to-read stack before I die. As that stack is presently at 898, I foresee a very long life. :)
