And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If you do your own electrical and do not have a complete, accurate map of every wire, BUY THIS. It will convert a day of hunt and seek into a 5 minute exercise. PS: you don't need the extra kit; just the 50 dollar unit. The other stuff you can make for a buck or two.
I've traced up to 800' with this set. You might need to pull the cover off the panel and hit the wires individually if you want precise, since sometimes you get false readings on adjacent breakers. However, positioned the right way, you will figure it out pretty quickly. Certainly beats the chance of turning off the wrong breaker if you're working an area that a 'wrong one' can cause some problems. millerized
I bought this exact rig in Feb to chase down the circuit of a failed GFI outlet in the kitchen. The panel box is a nightmare of mislabeling and this device made finding the correct breaker a breeze. I wish I had bought it 40 years ago.
In the past I'd just use a screwdriver to arc the circuit and blow the breaker.
