And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Before my time but here's my best guess Top row L-R, Not sure, looks like the size and shape of the fishing kit issued in the 80s; I think it's a water bag; Pocket knife, Tooth brush, Ammonia inhalers to wake up unconscious people; can't read and don't recognize the packages.
Middle row: Compass and case; water purification kit; Not sure; Maybe C-Ration type accessory packet?;Candle, Matches, Toilet paper.
Bottom row: Not sure; Can't read but some sort of cream paste, possibly first aid related?; Don't know; Medical gauze; Signal mirror.
Sorry can't figure it all out, but this at least gives you an idea
When going through some stuff that belonged to a now deceased family member, I found my great uncle's shave kit from WWI. Nice little kit & is in an embossed GI issue metal case. - WDS
can someone please itemize the contents ?

Are those light brown packets on the far lower left corner the condoms?
ReplyDeleteNope, packet lists something that's weighs 7 grams each. If they were weighing rubbers back then, better make mine a 10 gram pack!
DeleteNo, sulfadiazine.
