And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Chinese and other asian cultures were building much more elaborate structures 1000 of years before this was built. Portions of the great wall are 3000 years old. People in Northern Africa were building pyramids and temples that would put this to shame 1000s years before. Machu Picchu was built on top of a mountain in the middle of a jungle with no mortar 500 years before this roof. Chichen Itza was also built over 1000 years before this. Angkor Wat in Cambodia was built 700 years before this.
I could go on all day listing structures that are more impressive and older. So when you say superior, what exactly do you mean?
